Inside T.B.S.H.S., all staff will be reflecting on the last academic year, both in terms of outstanding, values-driven “Black, Gold, and Green” school successes, and continuing, important enhancements and improvements for the weeks, months, and year ahead.
Through the changing seasons, life is a humble, and constant, process, and journey of striving to be, and live, better.
Outside school, students are encouraged to reflect also, using today as an opportunity to evaluate the beginning of the new school year, contemplating memorable personal and collective moments, and learnings, from the past semester.
Such self, and social, reflection is always so very important in life.
For it is only by deeply looking within, that we can thoughtfully look without.
In so doing, we ask about the why of our lives, as well as the what, how, when, and who.
On our path, “the long and winding road”, the past always influences the present and the future. Yesterday always guides today. And tomorrow.
Thank you to everyone involved at Prospective Parents’ Evening. Led by Mr. Reeve and Miss. Butler, this was an evening of outstanding student leadership, supported by staff. There was a buzz around The Bishop’s Stortford High School on another very special, and important, occasion. Everyone playing their equally important positive part is what community is all about. We all rise when we all lift others. The feeling of being part of something bigger than ourselves is truly magical.
It was brilliant to welcome students, and their carers, guardians, and parents, looking around T.B.S.H.S. last evening.
And in all we do, and in all we have done, and will do, yesterday, today, and tomorrow, we never, ever forget those who have cared for us. At home. In community. Yesterday. Tomorrow. Today.
