Senior Rugby Tour to South Africa (Previously New Zealand & Argentina), July 2022

After further discussions with our tour company we came to a decision that New Zealand was unlikely to open up without quarantine this summer making the tour impossible.

We are however still fully committed to taking the boys on a tour which has been a long time in the planning. We are really pleased to be offering South Africa as an alternative destination. We have been able to secure a brilliant itinerary with superb accommodation and excursions. Having Toured SA previously I know the level of competition in our matches was excellent and the hosting superb.

The cost for this tour is also less than New Zealand at £2,480.00. If you have already paid more than this amount towards the NZ tour we will arrange to refund the difference. Our tour company own a Luxury 5 bedroom holiday house with swimming pool in Cape Town and have offered this to us for the 5 days that we are in Cape Town.

We are therefore able to auction this to the highest bidder if any parents and/or friends would like to travel down at the same time. The Accommodation sleeps 8 people. There is a surcharge of £250 for cleaning/maintenance but any money we raise above this will go directly to our Tour fundraising. The tour has been costed for 40 students and 5 members of staff. If numbers were to drop below this a slight increase in cost would be necessary but I do not anticipate this being the case. We are due to pay the tour company 50% of the tour cost by the end of January, so please ensure there are sufficient funds of at least £1200 in your son’s tour account to allow us to pay this.
