Very best wishes to the Year 10 rugby team, and their coach, Mr. Kelsall, who represent the school in the semi-finals of the National Vase competition today.

Their achievement in reaching this stage is already ground-breaking in the school’s history.

Their journey continues today, with no pressure, following their process and their plan.

A very prestigious platform.

What promises to be a great game, against Gresham’s School, who we also very greatly respect, will kick off at 2 p.m. Game day.

There have been many outstanding sporting moments in the school’s history, especially in recent years.

These have included local, national and international representation.

Thanks to the wonderful Physical Education, and all other coaching, staff, and the students who played, the school have won national football competitions and featured in “The Cricketer” magazine’s top schools for cricket. TBSHS have also represented globally, in different continents and contexts.

And more besides. Girls and boys.

We also take this moment to convey gratitude to inspirational carers, guardians, parents, and all in the local community, who provide healthy, safe and sporting opportunities, and nurture the players, the spirit of the games and life itself.

The ethos of the school has always been to positively contribute and represent locally, nationally, internationally. Whether that be in: class; academic activities and research; examinations; educational visits; sport; music; drama; debating; the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme; the plethora of extra-curricular activities, environmental, community and charity work. Commitment, aspiration, respect, integrity and community.
