Thought For The Day – Wednesday 18th September 2024
Picking Up The Pace
The school year has begun at pace.
The days are flying by. A very good sign.
Attendance, form time, lessons, break, lunch, homework, extra-curricular events, uniform and behaviour around the school, and in the community, have set the tone.
We have also had our first ever school visits from the new site this week for Year 11, Geography and Chemistry. Quite a moment to see the coaches pull up for the first time. The story continues.
The fields and the multi-use games area or cage are in use. Both are elevated and beautiful locations.
Thank you to the Physical Education Department and Design Technology Department, and all other areas and departments with much equipment, who have been so flexible at the beginning of term.
In a big game, and in a big season, a good (but realistic) start makes a significant difference.
We establish our routine, rhythm and tempo for the challenges, opportunities, positivity and resilience ahead.
An outstanding school has outstanding and sustainable foundations. Literally.
It is very well worth investing that extra effort at the beginning of the season, as summer transitions to autumn.
Good decisions made today pay great dividends in the future.
Have a wonderful Wednesday. The Interact charity group meets up 1:15 in Room C05.
