Thought For The Day – Tuesday 17th September 2024
Design For Life
The new school is beautifully, carefully and thoughtfully designed and organized.
There are so many brilliant, and intricate, features.
The geography is fascinating (as always).
This is a massive and the ultimate tribute to all involved in its planning, building and project management.
All involved are very proud of their work.
Builders, for example, reflect on all who will benefit in the future.
They may not work themselves in the building but they show they have, and will, shape a legacy.
It is all about being proud of the finished product.
Whatever we put our name so, we ensure it represents the very best version of ourselves.
We know that life can bring challenges, that it is never a straight line, but act with humility and kindness, looking after and supporting others and ourselves.
The new school should inspire us to take further pride in our work in class, in the extra-curricular, in the community and in life.
To go the extra mile.
To be considerate, diligent and safe in our thoughts and actions.
Of course, the new school project is the product of meticulous planning over many years. Nothing happens by chance in this respect. Though, in discussion, planning and delivery, sometimes creative and new ideas can emerge, whilst massive resilience is needed as challenges are responded to.
As we begin our academic year, and establish our routines, we think about what our plans are for the year ahead, and how we will put them into practice.
We appreciate all that has been done for us and give back.
It will be up to us to bring, and perhaps to a point continue to refresh and update, the “Black, Gold and Green Spirit” in the new school.
Thank you very much indeed for the very respectful transition you have made.
Thank you to staff and governors, especially project leaders and builders for the new school (whose work is beyond words), for all they have done.
