This week is U.K. Science Week.

Science Week is a wonderful opportunity to show our respect for science in this country, and beyond.

Science is the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world,  through observation, experimentation, and the rigorous testing of theories against the evidence obtained.

Science discovers, questions and analyses the world and the universe, deeply considering, discussing,  reflecting and testing, from evidence, how and why things happen, with aspiration, commitment, respect and integrity as individuals and in community.

Science is engaging, enjoyable, enlightening, empowering,  essential, exacting and exciting.

The theme for Science Week this year is “Time”. This signposts the importance and impact of time on our physical and natural world and universe.

Thank you to all who lead  teach, and support, science, and all scientific subjects,  at TBSHS, and beyond, including the wonderful laboratory and support staff.
