Sixth Form Induction 27th & 28th June 2024
More information will follow in the summer term 2024
Welcome to The Bishop’s Stortford High School Sixth Form Induction
“I am delighted that you will be taking part in our induction. This webpage will provide you with the programme and other valuable information for our Sixth Form Induction. I hope that, over this period, you will get a sense of our Black and Gold Spirit and the values that underpin it: we value: Commitment, Aspiration, Respect, Integrity and Community. Please do make the most of your opportunity over these two days to meet your teachers, try out your subjects and listen to our students share their experiences.
The person you become in the next two years, the academic progress you make, the behaviours that you display and the activities you involve yourself in, will be what university admissions tutors and employers judge you on when you progress to the next stage of your life. We aim to help maximise your potential in every way and fully prepare you for the challenges beyond post-16 education.
On this page you will find a programme for the Induction period, along with a breakdown of the subject option blocks and the other great events on offer – including our student variety show – Showcase. If you want to find out more information about your A Level or BTEC subjects please visit our 6th Form Options page, which contains videos and information about our A Level and BTEC specifications. If you need help on the days of our Induction please do not hesitate to speak to one of our Year 12s or any member of staff.
We are incredibly proud of our amazing school and sixth form. Whether in the exam hall, sports field, music hall or on stage our sense of community and Black and Gold Spirit shines through. I know you will get the chance to get involved in many different aspects of school life during induction and so I challenge you to immerse yourself in these different opportunities and #beblackandgold for two incredible days.”
Everyone is available to help so please do ask if you need further information.
We look forward to welcoming you to the School.
Mr George Munro
Assistant Head, Head of Sixth Form
