Thought For The Day – Thursday 17th November 2022
Let’s Go
What are you doing this evening or tomorrow evening?
Get the homework done, get off the ‘phone, and the internet, and come to “Middletown”. Let’s Go.
You will not regret coming. You will learn from, and support, your fellow students. You will improve your literacy and oracy too. You will have a good time.
The school hall has seen some fantastic performances over many years. This will continue tonight, and tomorrow, with another fantastic edition, another memorable chapter. Drama, and music, are brilliant subjects that are so essential to life.
Will you be there? Sometimes you just have to make the effort to find that new opportunity. Miss it, miss out. Where else do you get to see a live performance for just £5?
The plot of “Middletown”, a highly regarded play by Will Eno, promises to be very intriguing and illuminating. A stranger arrives to a town and various events, happy, funny, sad, and everything in between, follow. “Middletown” could be anywhere and everywhere.
Could “Middletown” be TBSHS? It certainly will be tonight.
Staff and students have worked so hard and so consistently day after day, night after night, to create this production. This is an inspiration to us all.
Thank you to Mrs. Steele, the Drama Department, Mr. Mead (who has composed the music), the Music Department and Mr. Williams for all their inspirational leadership. Thank you so much the cast and crew for their outstanding work. Student leadership at its very best.
TBSHS Hall 7 p.m. tonight and tomorrow – Let’s Go. Show “The Black and Gold Spirit” and come along.
Miss it, miss out.
