Thought For The Day – Thursday 13th June 2024
The Black and Gold Spirit
This week, various students have visited Bad Sulza in Germany, the Castle Howard area in Yorkshire or Shakespeare’s Globe in London. Tomorrow, the Guernsey Cricket Tour departs.
Other students have heard from employers in school, or participated in engaging and enlightening work experience out of school.
Year 12 students complete their important “Gateway Examinations” tomorrow. We thank students for their hard work for, and in, these significant examinations. Year 12 students engage with their work experience next week.
We greatly thank staff organisers, leaders and supervisors, as well as all hosts and guests for all these fantastic opportunities.
Thank you to students for representing the school, and even more importantly, their families and themselves well.
Thank you to Mrs. Jonas for all the outstanding careers education work. Thank you to Mrs. Kitching for her outstanding work with all educational visits.
It is wonderful to be in a school community that gives such excellent opportunities, inside and outside of class.
We need to, and should, express thanks to all who make these wonderful things happen.
The most important part of our community is our care and for, and respect of, others, in school, in society and in solidarity, particularly anyone going through very challenging times.
“The Black and Gold Sprit” looks after others, is always with you and will always be with you.
We are always inspired by others on this and our journey.
