Disability Is Not An Inability
Sunday 3rd December was the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
This day highlights the importance of inclusivity, accessibility, and equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities, while also celebrating their achievements and contributions to society.
Chris Foster studied at TBSHS from 2001 to 2006. He played in school football and cricket teams. He played football in lunch times in the cage. He represented his country at three sports, including swimming and cricket. Chris is now a professional golfer.
Chris achieved, and achieves, all these things despite having one leg amputated early in his life owing to bone cancer, something he never got down about.
In 2022, Chris played in the Cairns Cup between Europe and the United States of America.
Chris is the first amputee to be a Professional Golf Association professional.
As Chris says: “Disability is not an inability.”
