Thought For The Day – Monday 22nd May 2023
Our Best
Good luck to Year 7 students, who begin their examinations today. Take every day, and every exam, at a time. Respect the exams and the rules, read the question and pay attention to literacy. Give your best.
Year 11 and Year 13 students continue their public examinations this week. Big push until half term. Remember all you have done, keep preparing, keep going and stay healthy. Look after yourself, and other people, and just give your best. Summer holidays and Result Day are your rewards. Eyes on the prize, but keep perspective. Life is a personal and collective journey. Keep calm and carry on.
Today we remember our former caretaker Mike Franklin, who passed away one year ago. Mr. Franklin was a very knowledgeable, thoughtful and good-humoured person who served the school, in term time and in the school holidays, for nearly twenty years. Mr. Franklin always gave his best and is very much missed. Mr. Franklin is always very fondly remembered. The beautiful, calming and hopeful birdsong in the morning reminds us one of ornithologist Mr. Franklin’s great passions and interests.
We continue to thank all staff for all they do for TBSHS, including caretaking, catering, cleaning, examinations, finance, library, office, reception, registration and departmental and pastoral support staff. They all set the stage for everyone to flourish and perform and give their best.
The photograph below was taken at TBSHS in June of last year.
