Thought For The Day – Monday 22nd June 2026
T.B.S.H.S.’ Sustainability Week
This week is another important week at T.B.S.H.S.. It is our Sustainability Week. The theme of this week is: “The Power of Nature”. Thank you to Mr. Harvey for leading this integral initiative.
Sustainability means using resources to meet our current needs, whilst ensuring future generations are not prevented meeting theirs. It means caring for our precious environment.
Sustainability is about our School motto – past, present, and future.
What do you currently do, and what do you wish to do, to play your part in Sustainability?
Black, Gold, and Green. Always.
As part of this important awareness week, we are offering another epic opportunity to “Run to School” on Wednesday the 24th of June.
Here, you run, or jog, at least 1.5 k.m. along a set route.
This is also a House competition. There are points for representing your House.
- If you wish to participate, please observe to following:
- Make sure you leave everything you need for school in your locker on Tuesday the 23rd of June.
- On the day, wear your Physical Education kit.
- Consider carrying a small rucksack for things like phones and keys.
- Join the event at one of the ‘Run Stops’ where a teacher will arrive just before the ‘departure time’ . Please see below.
- If you arrive after the ‘departure time’ you are too late.
- Traveling to school safely is your responsibility. Take care crossing roads and always stick to the path.
- There is no extra credit for finishing ahead of others. It is not a race. You must give way to other path users.
- Remember, you are representing the School.
- When you arrive at T.B.S.H.S., register your participation in the main hall and collect your ‘proof of participation’ slip. This will allow you to stay in Physical Education kit for the day.
