Thought For The Day – Monday 11th September 2023
Past, Present, Future.
Well done on your first week of the new academic year at TBSHS.
We hope our new staff, students and parents feel warmly welcomed. You will write the next chapters, the next book, the next story, the next series.
We continue to progress this week. New hopes, new dreams, same passion.
Our school motto, “Respice, Aspice, Prospice”, means look to (or respect) the past, the present and the future.
We are always mindful of those around the world going through massive challenges.
Children in Ukraine are going to school amidst aggression, invasion, violence and war. Many classrooms and schools in Ukraine are underground. Other students in Ukraine continue to learn on-line, just as they did throughout the global pandemic, before their country was illegally invaded.
We think of the many who have lost their lives, and those who are suffering, because of the earthquake in Marrakesh, or Marrakech, Morocco, and the surrounding towns and villages. We pay tribute to the charities, emergency services and first responders who are giving essential and immediate help to save lives, support the bereaved and give food, water and shelter.
In the United States of America, today marks twenty-two years since the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001. With regard to these terrorist attacks, and all other terrorist attacks, we think of all who were killed, all who suffered, and continue to suffer, and the emergency, legal and security services.
At times, life can be challenging beyond words.
Those who we love are always with us.
We hope, and work, for a beautiful, bright, good, kind and moral today and tomorrow, cherishing and supporting people, our environment and positive memories and moments.
