Christmas Service, Christmas Peace

The next two days see our Christmas Services at Saint Michael’s Church.
The school community will respectfully meet on three occasions.
There will be inclusive engagement and reflection, in music and words, and giving back to our local community. At the close of the services, there will be a collection for the continued upkeep of Saint Michael’s Church.
Thank you very much indeed for the generosity you have shown this Christmas, whether it be: in making a donation to the food bank and night shelter; in bringing in a toy, or bag packing, to raise money for, those in need; or in a more personal way as a good citizen in families, communities and neighbourhoods.
Giving is at the very heart of Christmas. Helping those in need is everything. This is Christmas service.
The theme of the services will be Peace, linking to the Christmas message of “Peace and Good Will to All”.
Christians believe in the gift of God through Jesus, “The Coming of The Prince of Peace”, born in the homelessness and humility of a stable.
At this time, and at all times, we spread the message of Peace, globally, nationally and locally.
Peace is the absence of conflict and war.
Peace is about fairness or justice, harmony, light, love, kindness and wellbeing.
Peace without and peace within.
We remember peace starts with us, as we seek our own personal inner love and peace.
Christmas service. Christmas peace.
