Thought For The Day – Friday 6th March 2026
Inspirational and Empowering
“World Book Week” concludes today with a lunchtime quiz in the School Hall and the completion of Form window displays.
Get involved.
Today is a very good opportunity to thank all in every area of our school who nurture Literacy at T.B.S.H.S., led by Mrs. Miles and Miss. Bishop.
Thank you to all staff and all students who have made this week so brilliant.
We were certainly blessed to host a Literacy legend and giant yesterday.
After a wonderful introduction from Mrs. Miles, our very special guest yesterday was author Dr. Ashley Hickson-Lovence.
Ashley gave a truly inspirational and empowering presentation about his journey and the wonderful belief, creativity, and resilience Ashley has shown.
What a very nice person and superb creative Ashley is.
Someone using his platform to create a better world for all.
Someone who cares.
Someone who deserves all the immense success he has had. And even more.
Ashley was very impressed by the positive energy and culture of T.B.S.H.S..
This was something Ashley enhanced with such an engaging, humble, passionate, respectful, and wise presentation.
These are the moments we will always remember. Thank you also to Ms. MacEachern.
Ashley shared his story, his inspiration.
What is your and our story?
What and who is your and our inspiration?
What is “Your Show”?
Identity leads to imagination, innovation, industry, and integrity.
Ashley’s message was:
“When life’s off-track
Put pen to paper
and find your way back.”
