Remembering
The first photograph above “Getty Images” photograph, by Jeremy Weine, from last evening, the 10th of September 2026, 2,977 drones recreate “The Twin Towers”, to scale, with each light representing a victim of the terrorist attacks of the 11th of September 2001.
The second above depicts “The Twin Towers” of The World Trade Centre in New York City at what would be its final dawn on the morning of the 11th of September 2001.
The third photograph shows survivor of the terrorist attacks Janice Brooks visiting The Bishop’s Stortford High School in 2018.
At The Bishop’s Stortford High School, we always remember.
We always think of those in need.
Locally, nationally, internationally, and globally.
Today, and every day, we remember.
We remember the 2,977 victims of the terrorist attacks of the 11th of September 2001, twenty-five years ago.
Every number a loved, precious, sacred, treasured, unique family, life, memory, and name.
We remember all in the United States of America.
We remember the 67 citizens of the United Kingdom, and the people of 77 different global nationalities in total, who died in the terrorist attacks of that day.
We remember the inspirational emergency services, and first responders, who ran towards the gravest danger to selflessly save others, showing the very best of humanity.
We remember those humble, and seemingly ordinary, citizens who did, and do, extraordinarily good things to care for, and love, others.
We remember those who passed away from this life and their loved ones. May they be, one day, reunited in Heaven. May The Light of their loved ones always guide them on earth.
We remember those who were traumatized, and whose life was made challenging beyond words, because of the events of that day.
We remember survivors such as Janice Brooks, who worked on the 84th Floor of 2, World Trade Centre. Janice, a very special person, a light in the world, visited The Bishop’s Stortford High School in 2018, with very grateful thanks to the U.K. charity “Since 9/11”, to share her story. “Also remember the survivors, as we are still struggling”, always says Janice.
We remember those who sensitively, and thoughtfully, tend to, and work at, the beautiful, moving, and personal memorial and museum to the events of the 11th of September 2001.
We remember the very important work of the United Kingdom charity “Since 9/11”, and all charities, communities, groups, organisations, people, places, religious groups, and voluntary teams who help, support, and think of, others, telling, and listening to, their story and stories.
We remember all who do, and have done, good, in the last twenty-five years, in the years before, in the present today, and in the future to come.
We remember all the inspirational and wonderful citizens who care, are kind, love, and respect.
May they be The Light and The Love which always guides us, as we always remember.
