Year 13 English Students Have A Treat

Students from our Year 13 English class enjoyed a visit to the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane yesterday to see The Tempest by William Shakespeare, one of the texts they are studying.

Actors in the cast included:
Sigourney Weaver – Prospero
Matthew Horne (Gavin & Stacey) – Trinculo
James Phoon (Bridgerton) – Ferdinand

Joanna Page (Stacey) was not in the cast. She was sitting in front of our group in the audience and had come to watch her friend & colleague Gavin!!!

Harmeet Matharu, Subject Leader for English commented “It is always rewarding to take our students to see the plays that they are studying, and this production at The Theatre Royal was excellent quality and a really good way to bring the text alive. The cast gave a sterling performance and to see Joanna Page (Stacey) in front of us was a real treat!”
