Thought For The Day – Wednesday 18th October 2023
Dream The Dream, Make The Dream A Reality
Tonight sees the Careers Fair for Years 10, 11, 12 and 13. There are so many organisations being represented, professionals giving so kindly and generously of their time, all in one place at TBSHS. Students cannot afford to miss this evening. Please attend in uniform and make the most of this fabulous opportunity. Thank you to Mrs. Jonas for organizing this superb event and her very inspiring careers education work each week.
Thinking about our future is so important. It gives us a hope, motivation, a plan and a purpose in the present. Everyone has their own unique path. We support one another in this endeavour.
Well done to Year 13 students thinking about their future in the College, University and Employment applications process, which takes many months of such detailed thought and preparation. Thank you, as always, to Mr. Munro, the Sixth Form Management Team and Year 13 tutors. A massive thanks Mrs. Price for her unique and wonderful leadership in, and organization of, this vital area.
Year 11 are also thinking about their future. Revision for mock examinations is very much beginning, whilst, in November, College and Sixth Form Open Evenings commence. This is a very busy time. But, superbly led by Mr. Ardin, all the Year 11 tutor team and staff, Year 11 always safely rise to the challenge, reeling off the wins day after day. The time and season is now. What do we want to be in the envelope on Results Day?
Year 7, 8 and 9 students are the Premier League stars and leaders of the future… and the present.
This is also a good opportunity for students in Year 7, 8 and 9 to reflect on what their hopes and dreams are.
As well as having a right morals and values, looking after yourself and other people, a key to our future is reading. Year 7 and 8 were given an outstanding opportunity to choose a free book (a wonderful gift for you to keep and remember for life) from so many brilliant titles as part of the “Bookbuzz” project. Thank you to Miss. Bishop for brilliantly organizing this with so much care for each individual student. The Library is always the centre of the, and a, school. The sun rises over The Globe also.
