Careers
Good luck to Dani Donovan, former student of TBSHS, who goes in “The Apprentice: The Final Five: Interviews” programme tonight. Dani’s success on the programme, and with her local business generally, has been brilliant and inspirational.
Equally Inspirational are the many of the former students of TBSHS who are making a massive positive difference in their careers and lives. Well done to all. Keep spreading Black and Gold Spirit. Thank you to their families.
Work-related learning (WRL) is very important to our education. Whilst enjoying subjects, focusing on homework and examinations, participating in extra-curricular activities, paying attention to attendance, uniform, punctuality and conduct, and being a good and moral person are all vitally important in their own right, another vital aspect of education is the skills and attitudes all these aspects bring for jobs and careers beyond TBSHS.
Thank you to Mrs. Jonas for everything she does with careers in organizing key assemblies and events, student interviews and work experience. Thank you to Mrs. Price for everything she does for sixth form careers, college and university applications.
In Women’s History Month, we stress the importance of women’s leadership and, specifically to TBSHS, the importance of the leadership of the girls and young women in the sixth form at TBSHS and beyond. There would not have been, and there is not, any Black and Gold Spirit without their outstanding contributions past, present and future.
