It was wonderful that TBSHS could mark International Women’s Day yesterday. Students and staff brought different and diverse colours to an otherwise overcast and cold (as regards the weather) day.
The awareness continues. March is Women’s History Month.
Our positive Equality Values are lived every day. The stand against sexism, and all prejudice and discrimination, in whatever form, is constant, continual and committed.
We treat people, and the environment, with respect and thoughtfulness. We treat others as we wish to be treated ourselves.
Yesterday, there was another very important and colourful event around the world. The Hindu festival of colour, Holi, where people put coloured powder on their face, and the face of others, and make offerings to God, is a celebration of love, marking the defeat of evil, new beginnings and the end of winter. The festival, celebrated by millions, where families and the community come together, remembers the colour God put into the world.
We are back in the full, and smart, uniform of TBSHS today, with coats always taken off, and carried, inside.
Have a very good day.
