In The House

“House” events continue at an outstanding pace.
Thank you to Mr. Blake for his brilliant and inspirational leadership of the “House System” as a whole.
Thank you to “Heads of House” and “House Presidents” for their leadership in assemblies. Thank you to Mr. Griffiths for his support of the “House System”.
Recently, students were given the opportunity to gain points for their House in “TBSHS’ Music Festival”, organized by the Music department. Last week was the “House Spelling Bee”, whilst this week, and next, is “House Dodge Ball”. This Saturday will see another outstanding “House Football”, thanks to the Physical Education department. The deadline for “House Photography” is tomorrow. Today, at lunch, sees the epic and momentous “World Cup” final of the “House Debating” competition. Thank you to the Debating department.
We should also note “House Drama” on May 8th, where we have two very special guests, former student of TBSHS and broadcasting legend Greg James and his writing partner Chris Smith, adjudicating. This has, once again, been organized by Mr. Hows, who had the vision of an empowering, enriching, enthusiastic and extensive “House System” . In so many ways, the “House System” is the Hows system. Better than Hogwarts!
In all of these events, our new School Hall is providing such a memorable venue, as is our new Sports Hall.
All of these events need organization and participation from all staff and students alike. Thank you to staff and students.
As we build to “House Awards” for this term in “Final Assembly” next Friday, “House Points” are still very much available for those who significantly demonstrate our school values, in lessons and in extra-curricular activities.
In society, we aim to make all houses homes. We hope your “TBSHS House” is a little home from home to you.
