Thought For The Day – Thursday 24th November 2022
Attitude Of Gratitude
Today, and this weekend in the United States of America and Canada, is Thanksgiving. People celebrate and reflect on who, and what, they are grateful for, and give back. This festival originated in celebrating the harvest and giving thanks for the blessings of the last year.
Gratitude is the best attitude. In life, we develop an attitude of gratitude, thinking about what, and who, we are, and have been, very grateful for. We strive to pay forward what has been given to us, and what is given to us, and to help others.
Keep saying “please” and “thank you””. Keep appreciating. Take nothing for granted. Give back.
We very much look forward to welcoming Year 12 tonight for their Parent and Student Consultation Evening. Thank you very much to Year 12 for choosing to continue their education at TBSHS and for writing a new chapter and story.
For the rest of this term, we will all continue to develop. As they say in American Football, another feature of Thanksgiving: “The season starts after Thanksgiving”, as teams drive on for further progress in their season.
