Thought For The Day – Thursday 23rd May 2024
Thank you so much Mrs. Landers
As we go through life, we appreciate the unsung heroes that make our community and make us.
Unsung heroes are so important in our lives.
Hopefully, we too will be one of those unsung heroes and we always recognize, and shine a light on, other unsung heroes.
This week we say thank you and farewell, but never goodbye, to two unsung heroes of our community, Mrs. Landers and Mrs. Curtis.
We pay tribute to Mrs. Landers, Mrs. Black and Gold, who retires today.
Mrs. Debbie Landers, the Headteacher’s Personal Assistant, has served the school since 2008.
Mrs. Landers has been vital to the brilliant, efficient and effective running of the school behind-the-scenes on a daily basis.
Mrs. Landers has played an exceptional leadership role in a number of areas: reception; looking after and organizing visitors, including those joining TBSHS to inspire and influence all, and guests; inspiring, leading and meticulously organising P.T.F.A. fundraising, which made such a massive difference to all areas of the school over so many years; supporting Mr. Reeve and the senior leadership team in the outstanding leadership of the school.
These are just a few of numerous examples.
All this was done with a smile, kindness and such good humour.
Your life at school, and those of students before you, was massively enhanced by Mrs. Landers.
As the school went from success to success, led by Mr. Reeve, Mrs. Landers played an absolutely pivotal and vital role.
Both Mrs. Landers and Mrs. Curtis, who we will pay tribute to here tomorrow, are truly Black and Gold.
In the quality of their work and in the warmth of their character, kindness and personality, like all the great and the good, Mrs. Landers and Mrs. Curtis wore their greatness lightly and gave to others at all times.
Whilst we will massively miss the daily encouragement, humour and guidance, we know they will always keep in touch and visit us.
Thank you so much Mrs. Landers. You are the very best.
