International Day of Women and Girls in Science
TBSHS Science Staff & Students Celebrate
Today, on the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we celebrate the incredible achievements of women and girls who are shaping the world of science and innovation.
At The Bishop’s Stortford High School, we’re especially proud of our talented female students and staff, whose passion, curiosity, and dedication continue to inspire us all.
From the classroom to the lab, their contributions push the boundaries of what’s possible and prove that science is for everyone. Let’s continue to support and encourage each other, breaking barriers and making strides towards equality in STEM.
Together, we can create a future where every girl has the opportunity to follow her dreams in Science.
Wendy Butler, Science Teacher and Assistant Headteacher commented “We are very proud of the progress being made by women & girls in the field of science, and on this International Day of Women & Girls in Science, it is a pleasure for our Science staff and Science students to celebrate. From Marie Curie to Rosalind Franklin to Dame Professor Sarah Gilbert, we are sure our Sixth Form scientists will go on to make an exceptionally positive impact in the wonderful world of Science.”
