Thought For The Day – Thursday 14th March 2024
The Time Is Now
Term ends two weeks today.
It promises to a big finish to an always busy term, commencing with the Year 9 Parental Consultation Evening tonight, where Year 9 students will reflect on current academic progress and future options.
Various extra-curricular opportunities, including “A Night at the Movies” and House Football, educational visits and charity and community giving and reflection, will also continue to drive us forward and provide opportunities.
Lessons and form time continue to be the vital foundation.
Year 11 and Year 13 are at a particularly vital phase as students calmly make the most of each day as they prepare for very important summer examinations. Such studies will need to continue, in a balanced, efficient and healthy manner, in the vacation. Results days, where final results are correct, fair and objective, and a long Summer holidays, are the reward. No regrets in August.
Year 10 and Year 12 students are currently in “moving year”. In so many ways, the seeds of success in the final examination year are very much sown in the application, attitude and focus of the year before. This also acts as insurance if the final year is challenging and stressful.
All the above applies to Year 7 and Year 8, especially in terms of skills such as literacy.
Time can go quickly.
We do not forget to enjoy what we do, smile, be true to ourselves and create memories and moments.
Most importantly, we look after ourselves, look after others, do our best and strive to be a good person.
