Welcome back to TBSHS. It is week 2 of our school timetable.
We hope you had a good holiday, looking after others, yourself and your environment.
We are mindful that the Christmas period, though happy for many, is very challenging for many equally.
True love is found in humble and simple places, thoughts and actions. It is found in the seemingly little thangs of life.
This is the message of the Christian festival of Christmas where God in Jesus Christ was born into vulnerability and humility to love and serve others.
The light of true goodness and love also features in the Jewish festival of Hanukkah, which ended on December 26th this year, which remembers the Jewish people miraculously reclaiming, cleansing and rededicating The Sacred Temple.
Light is a powerful symbol in both important festivals and may we, staff, students and parents, spread light here at TBSHS in 2023 and beyond.
Challenges are opportunities to share and help others. If you have had a challenging time, recently or ever, know that this will be your superpower for others and yourself. Always dream of a better today and tomorrow for others and yourself. Use your platform to inspire, not to isolate, others.
Go well in the term ahead. Spread the love and consider others (manners). Do your best for your best is always good enough. Keep your standards inside and outside school. Appreciate others, especially your family. Help and support those in need. Good luck to Year 13 in your mock examinations and to Year 11 for your mock results day.
On the 9th January we particularly remember Rotarian Mr. Brian Edwards, who passed away on the 9th January 2021. Brian was an inspiring, kind, charitable and wise citizen of, and leader in, our local community, who gave so much to others in our local community and beyond. He showed the love, care and encouragement of each person that life is all about.
His legacy continues to inspire.
