Thought For The Day – Monday 2nd March 2026
Vielen Dank
This past week we have been delighted, and honoured, to welcome staff and students from “Das Nordpfalzgymnasium” (N.P.G.), Kirchheimbolanden, in the Rhineland-Palatinate state of Germany.
Thank you very much to all our wonderful guests and visitors, continuing a relationship which we greatly value, and treasure, at T.B.S.H.S., which has celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2026.
N.P.G. and T.B.S.H.S..
Such enlightening and empowering exchanges are an essential part of “The Black and Gold Spirit”.
Thank you to all the host staff, students, and families in both outstanding schools, and to the staff at Nordpfalzgymnasium (N.P.G.), including, at T.B.S.H.S., Mr. Alexander, Mr. O’Sullivan, Mrs. Talbot, and all the Languages department.
Such memorable moments create brilliant experiences memories.
We very much hope our guests enjoyed our new school facilities and all the opportunities our geographical location provides.
Mutual understanding, empathy, and respect are key to life.
It broadens our minds, brings us closer together, and spreads love.
As does reading.
“World Book Week”, with “World Book Day” on Thursday the 5th of March, commences this week. “Drop Everything And Read” occurs at 12:45 p.m. today, with all students and all staff expected, and encouraged, to read for the remainder of the lesson.
Just a couple of hours from Kirchheimbolanden, is where Jürgen Klopp grew up. The passion and the peace and the principles: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/football/68107646
