Back To Normal
After the very warm conditions of last week, The Bishop’s Stortford High School returns to the following today and beyond:
• The normal school day, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• The normal extra-curricular programme and timetable
• The normal school uniform, but no blazer, or jacket, is required
With three and a half weeks to go of our second academic year at Beaumont Avenue, we finish the term wisely and well, preparing for next academic year now.
In the forthcoming days, we will welcome new staff and new Year 7 students, following a wonderful Sixth Form Induction last week.
In terms of climate and temperature, last week was certainly very challenging.
In our “Sustainability Week” at T.B.S.H.S., the conditions experienced were a reminder to us of the importance of being “Black, Gold, and Green”.
But, as we return to “normal”, we perhaps should also deeply reflect that, whilst, for us here, there is respite, and an ending, for now, from, and of, such humidity and temperatures, for other communities, globally, such conditions are their very challenging regular reality and their very difficult and severe normality.
