Thought For The Day – Monday 26th January 2026
Good Luck Year 13
Thank you to Mrs. Chan and the Examinations Team of Invigilators.
Over the last few weeks, and before, students have been working diligently and resiliently in preparation, in lessons and out of lessons. Detailed and intricate courses have been engaged with, knowledge, understanding and evaluation developed and nurtured, active revision undertaken and revision resources created, past paper questions planned, practiced, and checked against mark schemes.
And, most importantly, students do not forget to share their passion for, and love of, their subjects, being true to their identity and their way of working and playing. “Keep doing you”. Always.
The picture above was taken on Friday evening, at 6.21 p.m., in a busy Sixth Form Centre at T.B.S.H.S..
The hours invested when everyone had gone home. Sometimes lonely. Often challenging. Always together. Students appropriately and respectfully teaching, and leading, other students.
Further, as the photograph above demonstrates, we support one another. If we see someone finding something difficult, we help them.
Even more importantly still is, as ever, wellbeing, both of oneself and others. Good sleep, diet, exercise, hydration, breaks, perspective, and social care will always be the foundation.
All we need to do, and give, is our best. That is the examination of life.
Whilst looking at future horizons, we live in the present moment also. We pace ourselves taking one hour, examination, day, and month at a time.
In all these educational terms outlined above, what is good for the Sixth Form is good for all.
