Thought For The Day – Friday 27th September 2024
True Love
As we close the third full week of this term, and near the end of September, we reflect on what, already, has been achieved.
In thought-provoking assemblies this week, Mr. Harvey spoke of the power of both change and continuity.
The change of our brilliant, exciting, fresh, new environment.
The continuity of eternal and timeless values.
Such is life.
The appreciation, gratitude, positivity, resilience and understanding all the school community have shown in our wonderful new facilities epitomizes “The Black and Gold Spirit”.
Keep up this approach inside and outside school.
Represent yourselves, your family and your school.
You are precious and valued.
Help and respect others in the community. We are one.
Always stay safe.
A good start to the season makes a massive difference, but it is only a start.
If you have had a challenging beginning, it only takes a different moment to turn things around.
The key is to do your best. That is all. Deep down, we all know our journey, all that we have achieved and what we wish to accomplish, for ourselves and for others.
We are always mindful of, and have a moral duty to, those in need locally, nationally and internationally.
In the U.K., very heavy rain this week has brought challenges to so many. As with any week, many others will have had their own massive personal challenges. Whilst we continue to pray for goodness, kindness, love and peace throughout the world.
Ultimately, true love, which is eternal, is higher than anything.
Have a good, happy, healthy and safe weekend when it comes. Finish the week well today.
