Thought For The Day – Friday 21st June 2024
Exam Legends
Today is the final day of external examinations at TBSHS.
Very best wishes to students sitting examinations today, and equally massive praise to all Year 11 and Year 13 students for the resilience, responsibility and rigour superbly demonstrated.
There are a very significant number of assessments and examinations in the modern day.
Thank you to all the teachers, past and present, who prepared the students so wonderfully.
Thank you to all carers, guardians and parents for absolutely everything, which is beyond words to describe.
At the end of the game, having given our very best, we show respect to all; players, supporters and officials. Organising, managing and officiating the examinations is such a massive and methodical task. This is a very important job in a school. Thank you to Mrs. Chan, Mrs. Pretious-White, every invigilator, who gave so generously of their time, the Learning Support Team, Mr. Gunn and Mr. O’Sullivan.
We wish students of Year 11 and Year 13 a very, very happy, healthy and safe summer. Thank you for the epic and vital books you wrote in the school’s story in so many areas, in and out of class and school. In your time, the school achieved “outstanding” and “stunning” massively positive national recognition. It should equally never be forgotten that you made massive sacrifices for the wellbeing of others in the global pandemic.
Very best wishes to those Year 11 students leaving the school. We look forward to welcoming prospective sixth form students next week. Thank you very much to those Year 13 students who spent a magnificent seven years of your life at the school, and to those equal legends who joined us throughout. We will never be “the boys’ high school”. We are a school of mixed and diverse sex and gender. Those who joined us brilliantly enhanced the school. Thank you so much.
And, in our journey, we will never forget those who will always be part of us, always inspire us and will always be remembered.
Every person is equally important, precious, sacred, special and unique.
Next year, although will we be on an exciting and new site, this will always will be your school.
The ethos can travel to the moon and back.
You make the world a better place. Keep changing it for the better. Look after yourself and others. Keep perspective and integrity. Keep doing you. Thank you to your families.
