Thought For The Day – Friday 14th March 2025
Half -Time of Half-Term
Well done, and thank you, to Year 9 carers, guardians, parents, students and staff for another great and inspirational Academic Consultation Evening last night.
GCSEs of the future were particularly on the agenda in important discussions.
It is amazing and brilliant how all appointments can take place in our school hall.
The multi-functional school hall is the venue for “The Black and Gold Quiz” this evening. Thank you to the PTFA for all the wonderful and inspirational work they do for the school. These brilliant parents and teachers raise monies for to help the school community. They give so generously of their time and are true unsung heroes.
The season continues at pace. We are effectively at half-time of this half-term. What have we, and you, achieved since the half-term holiday? What is in your team talk?
As well as the continued numerous house and extra-curricular events, summer examinations are on the horizon and we continue to make each day count in preparation for them. We want to, and must, go into the Easter holiday with positive momentum. This starts now.
A slight and positive change in attitude, mindset, organization, routine and tactics is often all it takes. Switch it up. Draw a line. A new start. String the little wins together. Each day.
We also have to recognize life is not perfect and we have to adapt to imperfections, including our own very many imperfections. Progress not perfection.
Like life itself, we listen to advice, give our very best, help each other, stay safe, show respect to all and run our best race, relating what needs to be done to our personal journey, identity, story, values, vision and way of playing.
