The Care of Loving
Central to our ethos, and values, at The Bishop’s Stortford High School is thinking about, and acting for, other people and our environment.
Locally, nationally, and internationally.
That kind piece of communication, that thoughtful action and gesture, or compassionate act of listening, can make all the difference to another person.
The true community cares for each other. No one is left behind. We are part of something far bigger than ourselves.
We treat our environment in such a caring and personal manner too.
Specifically, we think of, and act and care for, all in need.
Empathising. Supporting. Guiding. Empowering. Doing.
Such selfless service is the meaning of “The Black, Gold, and Green Spirit”.
Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Junior once said: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?”
What will we, humbly, do for others every day in our lives?
This September, we are collecting for the wonderful “Bishop’s Stortford Food Bank”.
This inspiring charity provides essential items for those in need in our local area.
The care of loving responds to the challenge, and cost, of living.
Any donations, from the list below, kindly handed in to Room C05 at T.B.S.H.S., would be very gratefully appreciated. No nuts please.
