Remembrance at TBSHS 2022

This week we have been observing Remembrance at TBSHS.

Our Art Department made the display in reception of the poppy net and hand-drawn poppies surrounding the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ by John Mcrae, and our DT Department made the statue of the British ‘Tommy’ surrounded by Poppies.

Poppy sellers from Year 9, organised by Interact,  have been selling poppies, wristbands and pins all week at break and lunchtimes: we started the week with five full boxes and four empty poppy tins. 

 We have ended the week with five empty boxes and four full poppy tins.

Today (11th November) at 11am, the whole School, assembled in the playground, heard Mr Reeve say a few words,  followed by the Last Post and a two minute silence.
