TBSHS French Language Students are Welcomed in Chartres, France
French Students return to TBSHS next week
The Institut Notre-Dame established a partnership in 2005 with a TBSHS in Bishop’s Stortford in Hertfordshire.
Arriving on January 9, 2023, in Chartres, twenty-four English schoolchildren, from the town of Bishop’s Stortford, located fifty kilometers north of London, visited the cultural and heritage riches of France throughout the week. They participate in an exchange with Year 9 and first year students from the Institut Notre-Dame (IND) in Chartres.
The French and English secondary school pupils were received, in the salons of the administrative center of Chartres by Patrick Géroudet, delegate for international relations.
They visited the Bateaux-Mouches, the Eiffel Tower and the Palace of Versailles (Yvelines), as well as French gastronomy.
The Institution Notre-Dame de Chartres offers two preparations for medical exams Galettes des rois and pancakes “English middle school students have already tasted French gastronomy such as the galette des rois, pancakes. Twenty-seven third and two first year students from Chartres travel to England in early February.
