Thought For The Day – Monday 13th January 2025
New Horizons
Above: TBSHS at the end of the first school week of 2025.
We hope you had a very good first week of the new term and the new calendar year.
We keep making good progress in lessons and keep making the most of the equally wonderful opportunities outside of lessons.
We demonstrate an engagement and enthusiasm to learn and improve further.
We keep doing our best, showing respect and integrity at all times.
Staying safe, including on our way to, and from, school, and making good decisions both in school, in the community, in person and on-line is also very important.
Well done to Year 13 for their continued hard work and good conduct in their mock examinations. Year 11 will receive the formative feedback from their mock examinations this week. The summer examinations will soon be here. These winter examinations provide such important experiences and information to ensure, if we act in the next few weeks and months, the final examinations go well. In this process, Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 are key stepping stones, as is primary education and life generally. Education, like life, is long term, if not eternal.
On our journey, responsibility and resilience is needed, as well as mutual support, looking after others and being kind to ourselves.
At this time, and all times, we continue to think of, and support, people with environmental challenges, both in our local area and the U.K., and around the world.
Have a very good day and a very good week.
