Thought For The Day – Wednesday 25th June 2025
Hospitality and Guests
We have very important guests in school tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday.
A sign of a good community is whether it and we respectfully, and safely, welcomes guests.
A sign of community is whether it and we work together to help others.
The word “guest” is derived from the word “stranger”.
The word “hospitality” means a friendly and generous reception and entertainment of guests, visitors, or strangers.
Our guests will be prospective Sixth Formers in, and at, Sixth Form Induction.
Those students have just come through marathon, and more, of GCSEs.
Please, show respect, manners, kindness and courtesy, as always.
Represent.
Hold doors open.
Help those who come after you.
Let others go before you.
Remember when you were new.
Remember when you needed support.
Treat others as you wish to be treated.
Please make sure you are aware of room changes, make the required adjustments and respect cover work and staff.
Support the Staff, as well as each other.
A great Sixth Form leads (to) a great school.
We all benefit.
We all benefit from Mr. Munro, the Sixth Form Management Team and the Sixth Form.
Please play your part tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday.
Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12: “The Black and Gold” needs you all once again.
