HM Lord Lieutenant of Hertfordshire is Guest of Honour at TBSHS Awards Evening
Robert Voss CBE CStJ Presents Awards
His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss CBE CStJ, attended the TBSHS Awards Evening yesterday (18th December) as the guest speaker and to present awards and certificates at our annual and prestigious event.
Our lovely Year 13 Leavers from Summer 2024 returned to receive their A Level Certificates with many being awarded prizes for academic or extra-curricular achievement.
Many have just completed their first term at University or spent their first few months in the world of work, so staff were pleased to find out how everyone is getting on since leaving.
Music was provided by Joseph Lee who won the Musician of the Year 2024 competition in March, before taking his A Levels and going on to University. Joe was accompanied on piano by his brother Owen, who also attended TBSHS and is currently studying at the Guildhall School of Music.
Headteacher, Mr Dale Reeve, commented “We were delighted to welcome HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire, Robert Voss CBE CStJ, to our annual Awards Evening, the first at our new site in Beaumont Avenue. It is always a wonderful evening to celebrate with students who left last summer, as they return to receive their A-Level and BTEC Certificates, along with academic, personal and extra-curricular awards chosen by The School. Closing with a rousing rendition of our School hymn, Jerusalem, Awards Evening is truly a highlight of our School year.”
