Nature’s True Friend And Voice
Happy 98th birthday to broadcaster, biologist, natural historian, and writer Sir David Frederick Attenborough.
Sir David has crossed epochs, eras and generations. Sir David has encouraged the curiosity, and love, of, and wonder for, creation and nature. For we are one planet.
And through the years and the seasons, Sir David has done all this with character, eloquence, grace, humility, kindness, truth and wisdom. His wonderfully distinctive and unique voice has given a voice to all.
Look outside. In the evening, morning and afternoon. In nature, and in other living beings, from small to large, and everything in between, we can find beauty, calmness, connectedness, harmony, peace, sanctity and tranquility. Looking without, looking outside, can help us within. “Consider the lilies of the field”. Sometimes all we need is…to be.
Sir David has continued to educate us on conservation, environmental care and science and sustainability. A further sign of his true greatness and selflessness is his constant care, compassion and concern for the world, and planet, beyond him, both now, and in the future. Outside the main entrance to “The Natural History Museum” in London are the following words from Sir David: “The future of the natural world, on which we all depend, is in our hands.”
On Sir David’s birthday, we pay tribute to a true international and global icon and massive inspiration.
