Thought For The Day – Wednesday 11th September 2024
(Re)present
In many ways, the success of a school year is significantly influenced by the start that is made.
Working very hard now to set, and maintain, our standards, establishing our approach, routines, and style of play, pays off for the rest of the season.
If we don’t get going we won’t get going.
A crucial part of this is ensuring we look after the presentation of our new facility. It is on all of us to take care.
Because presentation matters. Presentation of ourselves. Presentation of the school. Presentation of our work. Presentation shows standards and respect. This is preparation for life. People notice these things.
We see this in the attention to detail in our new school. The Black and Gold signs, for example. Seemingly little things make a massive difference.
Presentation is not to be confused with the sometimes false and harmful perfectionism that sometimes can be found on-line. Life is not like that.
Presentation is about being the very best and most real version of yourself. We are all different, unique, equal and brilliant. You do you.
For when we present, we represent.
We represent ourselves, our story, our voice, our journey, our family, our roots, our school and our community.
Thanks to Mrs. Miles and Mrs. Pretious-White, today you will have your photograph taken twice, first for individual photographs and, secondly, for use in a whole school photograph.
These photographs are for family and school.
Be polite and respectful to the photographers.
