Thought For The Day – Tuesday 21st January 2025
Any Questions? Any Answers?

Being aware of, debating, discussing and thinking about local, national and international events is an integral part of global citizenship.
As is practically doing good.
On the evening of Friday 7th February 2025, The Bishop’s Stortford High School will host “Any Questions?”, the greatly respected and renowned BBC Radio 4 discussion and debate programme on current affairs.
A number of guests will be in school in the day and evening.
“Any Questions?” is the longest running live discussion programme in the U.K. The first edition was broadcast on 12th October 1948. The programme is slightly older than TBSHS itself.
Democratically, “Any Questions?” travels around the country, meeting people where they are.
The Friday broadcast is followed on Saturday afternoon by “Any Answers?”, a radio programme which follows a repeat of the Friday broadcast of “Any Questions?”.
“Any Answers?” is broadcast live from the national base of the programme and involves members of the public calling, e-mailing or telephoning in on the topics discussed to give their appropriate and respectful perspective and view.
Although this is the third time we have hosted “Any Questions?”, following editions in January 1999 and June 2012, it will, of course, be the first time at our new school.
Our June 2012 edition is here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01jrqs0
If you are interested in Politics, Media and Citizenship, you would like to help at an ambassador for TBSHS and our local community on the day or be in the audience, please e-mail Anyquestionstbshs@tbshs.org .
