Thought For The Day – Thursday 7th November 2024
Black and Gold Vibes
Thank you to everyone involved in such an outstanding Sixth Form Open Evening.
Such inspirational student and staff leadership was demonstrated at every level.
From: the prior marketing, including on local busses; those brilliant students and staff welcoming our numerous guests at the gates, and managing car parking; to those students and staff speaking, leading, playing and communicating all around the school; to the engagement of Year 11 and our guests from brilliant and wonderful local schools, who are equally proud of their ethos; there were so many “Black and Gold Vibes”.
This is our (new) school. This is your (new) school. This is who we are.
Thank you to Mr. Reeve, Mr. Munro, the Senior Leadership and the Sixth Form Management Teams at TBSHS.
As always, behind the scenes there was an immense amount of hard work. By Mr. Munro over half term and by school leaders and caretakers who transformed the School Hall. Such invisible preparation and hard work always wins the game.
Years 7, 8, 9 and 10, and everyone, continue to write our story, your story, today.
Keep playing your part. Keep leading the way.
In our journey, we never forget those in need and those who have served, and suffered, in the past and the present.
Poppies will be on sale throughout the day. Please ensure you have your poppy by the end of school on Friday so you are prepared for our next large school event, the Annual Remembrance Service at TBSHS, on Monday.
Compared to massive suffering endured, it really is so very easy for us to ensure to find some spare change and wear the equal, diverse and inclusive symbol of a poppy. It is a very good and very thoughtful choice for us to make.
Have a great day.
