Thought For The Day – Thursday 11th May 2023
Thank You Year 11
Tomorrow marks the final timetabled day before the examinations for Year 11 students, after five years in the school. We finish these lessons well, with grace and gratitude.
Thank you to Year 11 for their wonderful contributions to TBSHS inside and outside the classroom, in the curricular and extra-curricular dimensions, in the school and the community. You made memories. Each student is named, and thanked, personally below.
So many memories in five years. In times of happiness, and in times of challenge, you did everything with a Black and Gold heart, looking after yourself and others. That is “The Black and Gold Spirit”.
Thank you to Mr. Ardin, Mrs. Harris, Mrs. Cooper, your form tutors, your teachers, all current, and former, members of staff in every part of the school, senior, pastoral and school leaders who helped you along the journey. It takes everyone.
This is just the beginning. On to the examinations, revising this weekend, and more. Do your best. Be a good person. Treat others as you wish to be treated. Stay safe and stay humble. Remember your roots.
Most of all, thank you to your wonderful parents and families.
Every person is appreciated, brilliant, unique, special, treasured, important, inspirational and remembered:
Will, President of Shaw.
