Thought For The Day – Friday 3rd May 2024
The Black and Gold Spirit
This week, on London Road, a member of the public fell and was hurt.
Yesterday, the owner of “Dawn’s Food Stores” (other great food stores are available) reported that this member of the public had visited the shop and communicated much appreciation and gratitude to all the members of the local community, including students of TBSHS, who stopped and showed great concern. The owner “Dawn’s Food Stores” passed on the very thoughtful card pictured (inside and front) above.
In particular, a student was highlighted as playing a particularly leading role. The student was identified as Will, in Year 13, a deputy senior student.
Will, and all the other students who cared, showed what “The Black and Gold Spirit” is.
That’s the ethos. Helping, respecting and showing compassion for, others inside, and outside, home, school and community, and compassionately never forgetting what it is like to have a challenge and experience difficulty.
Finish the week well and have a good, healthy, kind, productive, safe and thoughtful bank holiday weekend. Spread the love.
