The Visit of Hannah Lewis MBE to TBSHS – Tuesday 7th March 2023
Sixth Form Citizenship
Hannah Lewis MBE returns to TBSHS today for the first time since the global pandemic.
Hannah is a survivor of The Holocaust.
Hannah saw her mother shot by the Nazis when Hannah was eight.
Hannah’s mother (pictured in the first picture above) gave her life for her daughter.
Hannah will tell her very moving story today and talk about the prejudice and discrimination her Jewish family suffered.
Hannah will also talk about how she came over the U.K. and was welcomed after the war.
Hannah was awarded an MBE in 2018 for delivering talks to schools to share a message of tolerance and understanding.
Hannah has enjoyed her previous visits to TBSHS. We hope to make Hannah feel very welcome today. We are very honoured to hear from a Holocaust survivor.
