Thought For The Day – Monday 14th November 2022
Reach Out
Friday was a very moving occasion at TBSHS as the school community, led by Mr. Reeve and the Music Department, remembered and respected on Armistice Day.
The theme of respect continues this week with Anti-Bullying Week.
Today students across the country, including at TBSHS, have been invited to wear odd socks to raise awareness.
Bullying is defined by the Anti-Bullying Alliance as the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person/group by another person/group, involving an imbalance of power.
Bullying can be physical, verbal, emotional, sexual, cyber or on-line, indirect.
Racism, sexism, LGBT+ prejudice and discrimination, disablism, classism and ageism are examples of bullying.
The theme for the week is “Reach Out” as anyone suffering bullying, or who witnesses bullying, is encouraged to reach out for support.
