Black and Gold Legends
It is always a massive honour and pleasure to meet former students, and staff, whether that be when they come back to T.B.S.H.S., or whether they are in the local area and community.
The message of the “Black and Gold” spreads far and wide.
On Saturday morning, in Bishop’s Stortford, it was very inspiring to learn of the fabulous progress an outstanding former student is making at a very highly respected international company.
From Year 7 to Year 13 to working for an international business.
Whereas, in the last month alone, it has been equally inspirational to learn about brilliant work students who attended in the School in the 1990s and 2000s, and seen in Bishop’s Stortford, have been doing in their own professions, businesses, and vocations.
Everyone finds their way and route in life.
You never forget the “Black and Gold”.
And the “Black and Gold” never forgets you.
For sure, life brings challenges, but values are the foundation, guide, inspiration, and lighthouse.
We have countless former students leading the way in the U.K., and around the world.
And we never, ever forget our wonderful former students, and staff, who have passed away from this life.
All former students are equally important.
Broadcaster, and author, Greg James, a former student of T.B.S.H.S., symbolically represents the former student body.
Greg is currently continuing his epic 630-mile bicycle ride, raising monies for “Comic Relief”.
In this challenge, which has already raised over half a million pounds, Greg is being inspired by his family, especially his legendary dad, Alan, currently very seriously ill in hospital.
For, in saying thank you to all our former students, and indeed staff, we always remember, and are totally inspired by, the unsung heroes of carers, guardians, and parents.
