Thought For The Day – Tuesday 16th May 2023
Good Luck Year 11 and Year 13
After Languages examinations began a few weeks ago, the rest of the examinations have now started. Thank you to all the invigilators.
We wish all our Year 11 and Year 13 students very well in the forthcoming days and weeks.
Take every day, and every exam, at a time. Follow the examination advice, and resources given, by the staff, and help, and look out for, one another. Remember what you learnt from your mock examinations in December and January. Make the most of revision time, as it is never too late to make a difference, until the examination papers of that particular paper are handed in. Much can be achieved in a short. but active, revision block. Find yourself a happy, relaxed but focused revision space, and effective revision technique, that works for you. Be on time for your examinations and bring the correct equipment. There will be a range of questions in the examinations, including some challenging questions, but you use your brilliance, learning, practice, preparation, resilience and thinking to respond to these questions. You will be closer than you think. The school values of commitment, aspiration, respect, integrity and community apply also to exams.
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. In the above, and in everything, we need to look after ourselves, and one another, keeping perspective. A healthy lifestyle of sleep, good diet and water is key, as well as promise to just do your best, and not get too worried by perfectionism for none of us are perfect. That being said, go for it, aim high and be inspired by others. Let’s go.
Thank you to your families.
In our journeys, we always remember doing our very best and being a good person are the absolutely key things in life.
