Thought For The Day – Monday 16th June 2025
Values
The photograph of the School (above) was taken this morning.
We welcome Years 7 and 10 back to Beaumont Avenue today. Well done on all that was achieved last week. Thank you to the staff who organized, supervised and supported. Thank you to carers, parents and families.
Equally, well done to Year 12 students on their examinations. Year 12 students, thanks, once again, to Mrs. Jonas, embark on their work experience.
Aspiration, commitment, respect, integrity and community continue today.
Many Year 11 and Year 13 students continue with their examinations and are now entering the “home straight” before, emotionally, crossing the finishing line, knowing they have given their all and run their best race.
Yesterday, Sunday 15th June, was Father’s Day this year.
Whether they be physically present in this life, or spiritually present in our hearts, adopted, biological, carer, family, foster and step fathers, and grandfathers, were deeply thought about, and appreciated, as well as all who warmly and wisely believe, care, encourage, guide, inspire, love and nurture.
Yesterday was also the 8th anniversary of the Grenfell Tower Fire., where 72 people died, including 12 children. All unique and precious people, with personal and collective stories. So many were, and are, traumatized. A floral tribute, on Father’s Day, pictured below, remembered “Dad”, who had passed away at Grenfell.
