Thought For The Day – Monday 13th April 2026
Hopes and Dreams, Pride and Passion
We hope you had a happy and healthy last two weeks.
We look forward to another new term at The Bishop’s Stortford High School.
What are your hopes and dreams?
What do you wish to achieve by the close of Final Assembly on 12:30 p.m. on the 22nd of July 2026? Earn the Summer.
We celebrated last term at another wonderful Final Assembly at the close of last month.
But, as the community dispersed for the beginning of the holidays, some to play in, and support, the outstanding the T.B.S.H.S. rugby events, the Art rooms at the School were full of many students, inspired, guided, and supervised by staff, showing passion and pride in doing extra G.C.S.E. and Advanced Level preparation work late into that last Friday and on the following Saturday morning also.
This is pictured above. There are no telephones. All business. It is about the work. Completed in true “Black and Gold Spirit”.
As we near the season of final assessments and examinations, this was an inspirational reminder that extra endeavour, effort, and engagement is very much rewarded.
Rewarded extrinsically with final “results”.
And, even more importantly, rewarded intrinsically, in knowing we: have given our all; done our very best; stuck to our process; shown respect and integrity; brought our individual, personal and collective identity to all we do and all we strive to do.
